Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing is a classic movie that was released in 1987 but has never been far from peoples minds. It is the story of Frances "Baby" Houseman, played by Jennifer Grey, who can be considered somewhat of a "daddy's girl." In this film Baby and her family take a vacation to a wealthy resort where they spend the majority of the summer. During this time Baby begins to take dances lessons from and fall for a rebellious dancer named Johnny (Patrick Swayze). This is a timeless love story of two people caught in a forbidden love, because of stereotypes, lies, and social class. With the many famous movie quotes like: "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" and "Have the time of your life" this movie will be sure to have you dancing in your seat. It is definitely a movie that everybody must see, and that some people watch time and time again!!

The reason I dislike these movie reviews is this: they don't take a specific viewership angle when reviewing a movie.

For example, in your review here of Dirty Dancing, you say "It is definitely a movie that everybody must see" - simply this is not true...while I love this movie, I know for a fact my family would HATE it, cause it's too "dirty." This review blog would be much better in my opinion if you gave the audience some context of who would enjoy the movie, and why or why not.

P.S. The plot summaries leave much to be desired too.
